The web based recruitment on specialized job web sites like Monster.com looks very attractive to the organization. But the organization has to be prepared well to implement web based recruitment process and has to be able to process a lot of useless job resumes to find the right candidate.
The organization has to be prepared with its external recruitment process to compete on one extremely big job market, where the candidate does not have to meet the right job offer and many people looking for the job can send their resume to a huge number of potential employers.
The job posting on specialized job web sites needs a lot of changes in the HRM Recruitment Process. The job posting has to be really attractive, short and “google has to see it”. The job web site contains thousands of job available immediately and the job candidate has to find that real one job offer - your job offer.
On the other hand, the HRM Function has to develop the recruitment processes, which are able to process a lot of candidates and able to react quickly. The job candidates are able to send their resumes quickly to many employer and they expect the same. The employer, which does not react quickly enough, is not able to recruit the best available talents as they are taken by other employers.
The HRM Function cannot realize the huge impact of the job web site advertising. The number of resumes can make the recruitment process almost impossible for the HR Recruiters. They need another job resume selection procedure to make the process run smoothly again.
