The recession supports the cost cuts in the recruitment area. The recession allows the company to use less expensive recruitment channels as the numbers of people look for the job and the cheaper recruitment channels are able to deliver enough job candidates to select from.
The recruitment process is very dependent on the economic cycle. In the economic growth the recruitment is very tough as the entire organization search for the good job candidates for their vacancies. On the other hand, during the economic slowdown the recruitment process can be very cheap as the job applicants are very active on their own.
The job market has the specifics as the job candidates can choose their final organization. When the companies look for the new hires, they are competing for few people and they have to pay high fees to all the recruitment agencies.
In the recession, the offers from the companies are limited and other organizations have to lay off their employees. The people have to look for the new job opportunity actively and this makes the recruitment process cheaper as the people do not like to search through the recruitment agencies.
The recession is an excellent opportunity to try new approaches and new channels and it is a good time to fine-tune the web based recruitment.
