Social web services like LinkedIn are very popular right now. They say how special they are, but they work on the same principle like dating server. You are not just looking for the partner, but the PHP Programmer.
The recruitment gurus offer the social web services as a very good recruitment source right now. Generally, this means, that all the headhunters and recruitment specialists from different organizations all around the Globe will attack your profile.
When you want to use LinkedIn as the service to connect you with your professional fellows, you will be disappointed pretty soon as the headhunters and recruitment agencies will generate all the spam messages in the system.
Finally, the LinkedIn will have to offer the option to stop the messages with the job offers for the users as they will leave the service, which provides no value added for them.
When your organization plans to use LinkedIn and other social web media as the recruitment source, keep calm, as this option will not work for a long time. Personally, I do not believe in LinkedIn recruitment at the moment.

Only one of them is a social network. Employers and recruiters dont care if they know the applicant directly or through a friend, they want to hire the most qualified candidate….nothing will ever change that.
