Most important HRM component

This is a typical HRM Discussion, which is not interested for the rest of the organization – which HRM component is the most important one? The HRM Professionals are able to have long discussions and they are not able to provide any reasonable result.

The most important HRM component can be seen from two different views:

  • HRM Point of View
  • Business Point of View

The HRM Function puts the stress on the value added HRM Processes. The HRM Function likes the processes like Leadership Development, sophisticated Training processes and Compensation and Benefits. The HRM Function believes, these processes are usually about the future of the organization and they can provide better performance results of the whole organization in the future.

The HRM Professionals like these processes as they look very sexy and they are about the development in the area to bring better results and to narrow channels among different parts of the organization.

The Business Point of View of the most important HRM component is different. The Business want satisfied employees, managers and calm operation of the whole organization. The Business Point of View will be more about HRM Administration, Payroll and Recruitment.

The business puts more stress on the issues of the common day, not the future processes. The management understands the effort of the HRM Function to provide services for the better future, but they are more interested in issues of the daily operation.

When you discuss the most important HRM component, discuss two different point of view.
