The cover letter and job resume should come together. Nowadays, the cover letter is seen as not that important part of the job application, but for me personally, the cover letter is more important than the job resume itself.
The job resume can be done using a nice job resume template and it can look really professional. The job resume cover letter is not that easy to be written and it usually shows your real personality and what things are really important in your life.
The job resume can be easily written by a specialized company, but the job resume cover letter can provide just some guidelines and the rest have to be prepared by the job candidate on his or her own.
The HR Recruiter can easily recognize the cover letter, which is prepared on the basis of the prepared template and the cover letter, which is prepared personally for the company. The job applicant has to demonstrate the skills to type down several paragraphs summarizing the motivation, experience and the proposed skills and competencies for the organization.
Writing a good cover letter, the job applicant has to think a lot about making a good summary of the whole life and the offer and expectations. The job candidate cannot use just those „no meaning“ words as the cover letter has to attract the HR Recruiter to invite the job candidate for the job interview.

The time spent by reading the cover letters is not lost time, it can indicate a lot and I personally value the cover letters more than the job resumes.
