Keeping key employees as key employees

Each company has its key employees, even when they are not identified. And the key employees know they are key knowledge holders and they know the company cannot afford to lose them from one day to another.
The key employees are very important for the company as the operation is smooth because of their know how and their own personal experience.

They have a lot of experience from the past and they are smart and the key employee’s know how to handle all the difficulties in the life of the organization. The manager can manage the company, but the key employee says how to manage the organization.

The key employees are also dangerous for the company. As they hold the key know how for the organization, they can push their own interests much easier than the rest of employees. The management can be put into the position of providing benefits and special services to the group of key employees.

The transitions of know how from the key employees to the rest of the population in the company is very important, but the company needs to find a creative way to motivate the key employees to transfer their knowledge. They know very well as their know how is the key for their importance in the organization.
The company needs to find the way to motivate the key employees to learn the rest of the organization their own know how to make the future of the company safer. The company can use a lot of financial motivators, but the non-financial motivation can work better at the end.

The key employees need to be recognized by the company and the company which rewards the key employees can transfer their know how better.
