The companies can easily forget to make differentiation among the employees in the organization. The differentiation is very important as it provides immediate feedback to top performers and key employees of the organization.

The employees without any differentiation do not see any benefit from being better than the rest of employees and it has a huge impact on the overall motivation of employees. The motivation is based on the personal satisfaction of employees and the benefits coming from different approach to different groups of employees.

The companies tend to be fair-minded to all employees and it leads to de-motivation of top performers and key employees as they feel their value for the company, but they miss any recognition from the side of the organization.

The key employees need to be recognized by the company to feel the interest of the organization. The key employees do not need significantly different salaries from the rest of the population they need to be visible in the company.

The company has to organize events, which are focused on the key employees and top performers to make sure the key employees are not vulnerable to leave the company.
